BOROUGH SANITATION.

At last nigth’s Council meeting the report of the nightsoil contractor disclosed a very unsatisfactory state of affairs in respect to certain premises, and which it would seem require immediate attention by the Inspector of Nuisances. The contractor stated that he had complained to the parties concerned and also to the inspector.

The Inspector of Nuisances, on the other hand, stated in his report ‘ 1 that the borough was in a clean and sanitary state. ” On the motion of Cr Frankland seconded by Cr Moore a resolution was unanimously carried that the Inspector of Nuisances’ attention be drawn to the sanitary contractor’s complaints and that the former be asked to take the necessary steps hi the matter immediately;
