CRICKET.

The opening match of the season will be held in the Park on Wednesday, 14th iust., with a match between teams selected from the Debaters and combined Foxton and Moutoa clubs. Given good weather, there should be a large attendace of the public to witness the contest. Afternoon tea will be provided, the ladies we understand i bringing baskets and the club members supplying liquid refreshments. The concrete pitch has been completed and this should help to brighten the game considerably, as a good wicket has been a long felt want in Foxton. The teams will be selected and published about the end of the week.
