The High Commissioner cables under date 27th October The hemp market is very firm and prices are strong on .the London market. Reports from Manila indicate that only light shipments are expected from there, g.f.a.q., Wellington, on spot is quoted at ss; October —December shipments, ; and January—’March at ,£35. ios per ton; fair current Manila on spot is quoted at ios per ton.
