THE WORK OFTHE SESSION.
During the short session of just over two months which concluded on Monday night, Parliament has passed 105 new bills into law. Of these 66 were public bills, 36 local bills, and 3 private bills. The session comprised 43 days of meeting. The number of sitting hours was 307^—an average per sitting of 7 hours 9 minutes. Perhaps the most remarkable thing about the session is the fact that only during 8 hours 5 minutes of the time did the House sit after midnight. Divisions taken in the whole House numbered 33 J committee no. One bill, the Immigration Restriction Bill, was reserved for the signification of the King’s pleasure.
