The Manawatu Herald. THURSDAY, OCTOBER 25, 1906.
We are informed that one or two other members of the local State School Committee intend to resign their seats in conjunction with the Chairman and Secretary as a protest against certain accusations with reference to the appointment of a headmaster. We sincerely hope that these gentlemen will reconsider their decision and remain on till the end of the term, which is not very far off. We feel sure the Chairman and Secretary have the confidence of the householders and that they are men who would not stoop to anything of a contemptible nature in the appointment of any teacher to the school. They would, therefore, be acting in the best interests of the householders by, retaining their seats—which we ! hope they wiH do —to the end of the term.
