THE COLONY’S FINANCE.

The buoyancy of the revenue is, to my mind, marvellous. Each year we think that we have got to the top, only to find that in succeeding months the revenue still keeps on increasing, “If we go on anything approaching the same results, it is quite evident that at the end of the . financial year the colony will again be in a highly satisfactory position to meet the many useful calls in connection with the public services and undertakings that are so necessary for the State’s development.”
