CRICKET.
Meeting of Foxton Cricket Association. A meeting of the above was held, last night. Present:—Mr Reade (in the chair), Messrs Rough, Bowe, Nye, Stiles, and Gordon. ■ Proposed by Mr Stiles, seconded by Mr Rough, that the question of annual report and balance-sheet be held over till next meeting.— Carried. .... , , Mr Furrie’s resignation from position of secretary and treasurer was received and accepted with regret. • Proposed by Mr Rough and seconded by Mr Bowe, that tbe Association put down a concrete 'pitch.—Carried. Proppsed by. Mr Nye, seconded by Mr.’Stiles, that Mr Rough be asked to -supervise the work - of laying concrete pitch. It was resolved that the; Council be written to for permission to lay down the concrete pitch. It was decided to call an annual meeting of ; the Association for Tuesday night; Proposed by Mr Rough, and seconded by Mr Bowe, that Mr Rimmer’s tender cepted for laying down pitch. The meeting then rose.
