MANAWATU ROWING CLUB.

A committee meeting of the above was held last evening. It was resolved to open the season on Wednesday, 24th inst, at 2 p.m.> and the following programme was arranged ; Pair oar in tubs; single sculls in outriggers; ladies pair oar race in tubs ; single sculls in tubs; pair oar in outriggers. It was decided that the entrance fee for each event, excepting the ladies, should be 2s 6d; and that entries together with fees, should be handed to the secretary not later than the 20th inst., as the drawing will take place on that night. The question of fixing the date for the regatta was held over, but it was decided that it be held some time in January. After other matters of a minor nature had been discussed, the meeting adjourned.
