MANAWATU COUNTY COUNCIL
A special meeting will bo held on the * •' toth inst. to confirm special orders passed by the Council at a special meeting held on the 12 111 September 1906, authorising the raising of special loans under section 14 of “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901,” as under: _ 1. Loan of £IOO for protecting MeDonell’s road from the encroachment of the Rangitikei river. 2. Loan of £2OO for the construction of a portion of Pyke’s road. 3. Loan of £6OO for the construction of drainage works in the Oroua Down s Estate and Wellington - Manavvatua Railway Co.’s Endowment. Also to make a special order to provide security for the payment of inter est and other charges on the loan ot £6OO for the construction of drainllge works. Such security to be a special rate of one half-penny in the £, over « The Down’s Special Rating District.
