MORE FOOTBALL.
SERIOUS INFERENCE BY AN ALBION SELECTOR. _____ [to the editor] Sir, —lt was published in the Manawatu Heraed last year by affiliation with a branch of the New Zealand Rugby Union we would have clean football in Foxton. If the decision of the SubUnion re the Albion-Awahou protest is a sample it is time we were on our own as before. The secretary, of the Sub-Union produced at the meeting the registration paper of Duffey, otherwise McLean, without it being dated ; the secretary could not say for certain when he had registered the above player, and with other similar evidence the Sub-Union threw out the Albion protest and awarded the match to Awahou. Surely the secretary keeps a registration book with all the names of players entitled to play in the matches of the season, dates in•cluded ? Is this another AwahouHylaud alleged point that is being shown ? In conclusion, I would like to ask through the columns of your valuable paper, is dame rumour true in saying that some of the Sub-Union officials have a jollification on our tanners that we pay for admission to football matches ? Trusting I have not taken up too much of your valuable space.—l am, etc., Percy T. Robinson.
