[By Earey-Bird.] I am pleased to record that Alf. Wright’s charge Lord Soult caught the judge’s eye at Marton meeting on Thursday, whereby a little foreign capital found its way into Foxton. Alf. has had a lot of trouble with Mr Symons’ pony since he took him in hand, • / and it is to'his credit that three wins out of four starts have been recorded since the Soult pony has been in his charge. As usual, Charley Price rode the bay to victory. The local contingent of horses in training this season is numerically larger than for some time, and amongst them, Foxton owners should reap much stake-money. Alf. Wright has eight in work, including Joe Chamberlain, Electric Gun, Fumeaux, Kai Errin, Lord Soult, and some promising youngsters ; Jim Middleton is attending to Mr Laing’s two Soult representatives ; Toney Messeua has his usual string ; while Jim Lambess has a beginner in daily exercise.
