LONDON MARKET. Dalgefy and Company, Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cable-; from their London house, dated 6lh hist.:— BUTTER—Market firm. The Copenhagen official quotation is higher by one kroner (about is ild per cwt, raised lor pm poses of adjustment). The total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for the week ending the ist September amounted to 81,000 cwt. as compared with 91,000 for the corresponding week of 1905. FROZEN MEAT—Demand continues for lamb at unchanged prices. Poor demand for mutton and prices are weaker. There is still a demand for beef, and prices are firm. We quote : N.Z. prime crossbred lamb, Canterbury, heavy, qd ; North Island, heavy, qd. Canterbury mutton, heavy 3^d; Canterbury lamb, light q|d North Island, light 4{yd; prime ox beef, fores ajjd, hinds 3^l; pork, sd. TALLOW—The spot raai ket is very firm. Since our last telegram, in general is higher by 3d to 6d^pr CLEARING SALES. Messrs Dalgety & Company, Ltd., Wellington, report having held clearing sales on account of Mrs M. A, Wilkins, of Trontham, and Mr J. Me ;gher, of Kereru. At the Lrmer sale prices for rows ran from £3 5s to £6 ; heifers, £2 173 6d to £4 10s; bails, £ 1 to £i 153. At the latter prices for best cows rrtred from f 5 to £g; other sorts £3 to £3; betters, £3 73 6d.
