SANITARY ARRANGEMENTS.
TO THK i|I)ITOR OP TIIK M/.NAWATU IIE1UU). Sir, —Could you kindly inform me, through.the columns of your valuable paper, who is responsible for the carrying out of the nightsoil contract in Foxton ? During the past month (August) there was Only otte removal, and that three weeks ago. At any time, regularity is the exception rather than the rule, and it is quite time the matter was taken up by someone in authority, as it is a menace to the public health, and certainly reflects no credit on the person (or persons) concerned., . Thanking you in anticipation for inserting this complaint, 7—l am, etc., Resident. [Our correspondent will notice that the Council at a meeting held •yesterday signified its intention to remedy the present scandalous state of affairs. — Ed. H.]
