LONDON MARKET ADVICES. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., Wellington, have received the following cable advices from their London Office, dated 23rd inst.: — Butter.— Since our telegram of the 16th inst., prices are higher by 3s 4d per cwt. The total imports of butter into the United Kingdom for the week ending the 18th instant amounted to 94.000 cwt as compared with 72,000 cwt for the corresponding week of 1905. Market strong owing to continuation of the drought. Think it possible prices at their best. Meat.— Frozen meat; Market dull owing to holidays and the hot weather. N./L frozen lamb : Lower by i-8d per lb. Frozen mutton t Lower by par to i-Bd. Demand chiefly for light weight carcases. Beef: Unchanged. Tallow, —Market very firm with small stocks, but demand chiefly for prompt delivery. Prices are on the average higher by is per cwt.
