Manawatu Herald. TUESDAY, AUGUST 7, 1906. THE NEW MINISTRY.
The announcement that changes in the new Ministry have come about is generally received with approval, and, constituted as it is, the different heads of the different departments should give general satisfaction in their endeavours to carry out their duties in a manner bespeaking knowledge. Each of the honoured appointees have had some experience of the particular labours they have been entrusted with, and we look to the Ward Administration to crown itself with credit. It was generally expected that Messrs C. IT. Mills and T. Y. Duncan would be retired from Ministerial office, and we sincerely trust that Hons. McNab, Millar and Eowlds will prove to be worthy of the trust reposed in them. Telegrams from Sir Joseph Ward were despatched throughout the colony yesterday afternoon announcing the fact that the portfolios in the new Ministry had been allotted as follows ; Sir J. G. Ward ; Prime Minister, Colonial Treasurer, PostmasterGeneral, Commissioner of Telegraphs, Minister for Industries and Commerce, Minister in Charge of the International .Exhibition. Hon.
