Orange Blossoms.

HANKINS—HICKSON. A very quiet but pretty wedding took place at Foxton All Saints Church on Thursday afternoon, the contracting parties being Mr J. G. Hankins (eldest son of Mr J. H. Hankins, solicitor, of Palmerston North) and Miss 0. Hickson (only daughter of Mr R. J. S Hickson, of Treasury Depart., Wellington). The bride, -who was given away by her father, wore a travelling costume ot grey tweed, and grey straw hat with ostrich feather. Mr Ford Hankins, brother of the bridegroom, acted as best man ; and Miss N. Hankins, sister of the bridegroom, accompanied the bride as bridesmaid. Miss Hankins was dressed in electric blue, with black hat. . The Rev. Mr Wilson officiated as clergyman, and Mr Berthold played the wedding march. The wedding breakfast which followed was served at the residence of Mr and Mrs J. Symons, where relatives of the happy couple joined in wishing them every success in their new life. The Rev. Wilson suitably proposed the health of " The Bride and Bridegroom.” The young couple left the same afternoon for Palmerston North by motor, en route to Napier, where the honeymoon will be spent. The bridegroom’s presents to the bride were a gold cable bangle and set of stone and Martin furs ; and to the bridesmaid a gold Shamrock brooch; while the bride’s present to the bridegroom was a gold signet ring. Amongst the many valuable presents received wereA cheque from the directors of Swainson and Sevan, Ltd.; a marble clock and hanging lamp from the employees of the same firm; and a gold Waltham watch with name inscribed to the bridegroom, from Mr T, Bevan, jun.
