Foxton School Committee.
The ordinary monthly meeting of the Foxton School Committee was held at the Borough Offices on Monday evening, there being present —Messrs A, D. Clemett (chairman), H. Wilson, C. Barnard, H, Austin, T. Betty, G. Gray, E. W. Wilson (secretary). The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Correspondence was read from the Education Board granting £l2 for new fence in front of new school; from J. Stevens, Esq., M.H.R., re reserves ; from Inspector of Agriculture stating that he would shortly visit Foxton, and the committee decided to arrange a meeting on a night to be fixed later. The Executive Committee reported having fenced the horse paddock for the sum of 355. The headmaster’s report was read and adopted. It was decided to leave the erection of new front fence to the Executive Committee—Messrs G. Coley, G. Gray, and secretary ; also the filling in of holes in school ground. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr F. W. Frankland for donating a framed picture of the late Hon. R. J. Seddon to the School, Another vote of thanks was passed to Mr A. Fraser for his term on the Education Board. Mr E. Baker has been appointed pupil teacher in place of Miss Dowling, transferred. All accounts were passed for oayment, with one exception. The usual vote of thanks to the ;hair terminated proceedings.
