A Millionaire Commits Murder.
New York, June 26,
During a performance in the Madison Square Garden Theatre, Mr H. Shaw, a Pitsburg millionaire, and a brother of the Countess of Yarmouth, slfot Mr Stanford White, a famous millionaire of New York thrice, killing him. He then calmly rejoined his wile, remarking, “He ruined you. Now I have fixed him.” The wife is the beautiful acress known as Evelyn Nesbit. Shaw has been arrested.
Shaw’s defence is insanity. It stated that White persisted _ in taunting Shaw with his wife’s past.
