E. A. COLEY CUP COMPETITIONS. ALBION v. AWAHOU-A DRAW. ■ Being an off day, there were only a few spectators to watch the above fixture at the racecourse on Wednesday afternoon. ' The game was of an even character, both teams almost scoring at different times. As is usual with junior teams, there were many infringe* ments, necessitating much whistle* No score was recorded when th# whistle sounded time. For Albions, Williams, Cole, Walker, Read, Furrie, Cummer* fied and Rimmer all done their best, while for Awahou, Bert Wilson was the best back on the ground. Others on his side to work well were G. Coley, Bogire, Andreson, Brown, Osboldstone, [illett, Bales and McKay, Awahou ■ looked a powerful team on the field, but lacked condition. Mr Sutherland refereed, whilst Messrs F, Robinson and A. Imrie held the line flags. SANDON (3) v. HUIA (0). At Sandon, the local juniors de* feated Huia by 3 points—a try—to nil. Rev. Father Molloy refereed. NOTES. Paddy McMiun has been tuto J ing Awahou' all this week, and the All Black should bear evidence of his teaching in the contest with Sandon to-day. Position in Championsips. Senior. —r—
