Before Dr Bennett and Alf. Fraser., J’s.P., this morning, Edward Miller was convicted and discharged for drunkenness. For committing a grossly indecent act, in a public place, Millar, was fined £l. The police are evidently bent on putting a stop to this disgusting habit. Word has been received that Constable Lander is to be transferred to Napier. The Wanganui Education Board intend closing all schools ir the district on the day of the Premier’s funeral.
