The meeting of the Football Union to-night will discuss matters in connection with the Junior Championship, and general, Roa Larkin has resigned his position as one of the selectors of Foxton reps., and it will be necessary to appoint someone in his stead at to-night’s meeting. Mr J. Frew is likely to act as referee for Saturday’s match at Foxton, while Mr P. O’Dea will probably handle the match at Oroua Bridge. We understand the meeting of Awahou juniors last evening was successful, it being decided to enter a team for the championship. The practise at the Racecourse yesterday was a tame affair, only about a dozen putting in an appearance. It is hoped to start junior matches next Wednesday. The Albion Club acknowledge receipt of 10s 6d donation from Mr T. Haywood. Rev. Father Molloy. of Marion, has signified his willingness to referee in any matches played at Sanson. So also has Mr Hinkley, of Bulls. Both are referees under Rangitikei Union, Sandon team against Oroua Bridge on Saturday; A’Court, Hartley, Richardson (2), M. Carroll, Scott, McNae (2), Williams (2), Cameron, Thompson, Sanson, Jarvis, W. Carroll. Awahou team, against Huia ; Jones, C. Robinson, Lambert, Spiers, F;, G. and W. Robinson, Joe, J. Coley, Shea Shea, Shadbolt, Williams, Jeffries, Browne, S. Wright. Emergencies: Geo, Coiey, Jillett. Huia team for Saturday : Tame Hikamate, Dunn, Tua Hikaraate, Arona, Tatana (3), Ponawha, Royal, Newth, Puti, Desmond, Lee, Petuere Maihi, McKeown. Emergencies : Cook, Hikamate, Para Maihi, Bowe, Waewae, Marshall.
