AN ULTIMATUM
SULTAN GIVEN TEN DAYS
TO DECIDE.!
London, May 5
Reuter’s agent stales that Britain yesterday presented a Note, which is equivalent to an ultimatum, to Turkey regarding the occupation of portion of the Egyptian frontier. The ultimatum, which fixes a time limit of ten days, requests the withdrawal of the Turkish troops from the territory in dispute, pending delimitation of the frontier on the basis of the agreement of 1892. The cruisers Carnarvon (10,850 tons), Barham (1830), Suffolk (9S00), and Venus 1,5600), and the tcfrfi&io depot slop Vulcan (6620), with destroyers, have sailed from Malta for Piraeus, _ France and Russia are supporting Britain’s demands.
