Double Drowning Fatality.

Auckland, May 1. A sad boating fatality is reported from Lake Waikare. While Matthevy Turboft, George Turley arid Cole, of Tuakau, companied by Mr Turley, ofWairangi, were attempting to cross tbe Lake, near Huntly, in a flatbottomed boat on Monday, a sudden squall upset the boat. Turbott and Turley of Tuakau, were drowned, sinking together three minutes after the accident happened. Cole and Turley, of Wairangi, were rescued after clinging to the boat for two and a-half hours. Turley leaves a wido# ~iv and two children. Turbott was a if single man engaged to be married. The Messrs Turley were brothers, and the party was preparing lor the opening of the shooting season.
