Manawatu Herald. TUESDAY, APRIL 10 1906. A FINAL REMINDER.

It should not be necessary to remind ratepayers of the poll to be taken in the Library buildings for the purpose of approving or otherwise of the /jooo loan for the purpose of electing new Council Chambers. It may be that ratepayers generally will feel overconfident of the result, and hence not think it worth the while to vote on the question. But we would say that it is an all-impor-tant one, and every vote should be recorded in its favour. By so doing, you will at least respect the dignity of your Councillors, and show plainly that there is at least some of the progressive instinct in the borough. Pass the loan, we say, for we badly need new Council Chambers. Remember polling clay is to-morrow.
