Nsw York, April 2. Earl Grey, who is visiting New York, has returned to the United States the portrait of Benjamin Frankland, which was removed from Philadelphia in 1777. The portrait has long been in possession of his Lordship’s family. [The city of Philadelphia was held by the British Army under Lord How during the winter of 1777, when the States were lighting for their independence. The portrait of Frankland was then re* moved.]
