A very handsome silver shield is to be allotted to the exhibitor gaining th most points in farm root classes. This is Mr S. W. Luxford’s trophy, and if valued at £25, presenting elaborate workmanship, having enhanced it from its original cost ot twelve guineas. The shield will he emblematical of dairy farming. Arrangements a r e well ,in hand for the annual dairy conference connected with the winter show in Palmerston North next June. The programme r. dicatesthat the annual meeting of the National Dairy Associati m will b held at 10 a.m. on the Tuesday morn-' ing and will continue all day. The factory managers meeting commences at 7 o’clock on the Tuesday evening and will continue on the Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., conceding on the Wednesday evening. On Thnrs day the milk testing competition w 1 be held under the direction of the Dairy Commissioner and his assist ants. These events are held to assis l country schools in work they are f >s‘ering in this direc'ion. There wid also be a demonstration of 'milk testing.
