- AWAHOU CLUB’S ANNUAL.

The annual meeting of the above Club was held at Laing’s Family Hotel on Saturday night, there being a large number of members present. Mr 15- Wanklyn was voted to the chair.

The report and balance-sheet was read and adopted, Mr Joe Jillett being complimented on the healthv state of the finances.

The following gentlemen were elected to the different offices — Patron, Mr J. Stevens", M.H.R.,; President, G. A. Simpson, Esq. ; Vice-Presidents, Messrs O. Robinson, Geo. Gray, O. Austin, G. Colev, A. Shadbolt, M. Perreau, Geo.' Stiles, J. T. Levett, L. W. Wilson, A. Laing, and H. Meder; Captain, J. Joe ; Vice-Captain, A. J. Broad; Hon. Secretary and Treasurer, Mr Joe Jillett. Messrs F. Robinson and Jillett were appointed delegates to the Executive. It was resolved unanimously that the Club support the formation of a local referees association. It was resolved that, enlarged photographs of the teata be presented to Messrs G. A. Simpson, H. Austin, and Mr and Mrs. A. Laing. at a Bali to be held on a date to be fixed by the Committee. Messrs F. Robinson, J, Joe, F. Charles, F. Williams, A. Broad, and J. Jillett were appointed to meet and make necessary arrangements.

Votes of thanks were accorded all honorary officials, also those who had supported the Club in every way. The secretary was instructed to write to Mr H. Meder thanking him for his donation of one guinea towards the funds.

Mr Joe Jiilett received the especial thanks of the Club for the aide manner in which he conducted the affairs-of the Club.

Messrs]. Joe (captain) and W. Robinsbn (the retiring viceoaptain) were also eulogised. Votes of thanks to the chairman an 1 Mr Laing for the use of the room concluded the meeting.
