Foxton Lawn Tennis Club.

A meeting of the Tennis cm committee was held on Wednes* day night, there being present Misses M. Austin, 1.. Austin, G. Wanklyn, P, Fraser and Messrs H. F. Wilson (Chairman), J. E. Marshall, and A. Fraser.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed and correspondence from Levin postponing match was read. It was filially left in the hands of the secretary to arrange if possible a match with Levin to take place on March 3rd and with Mr A. Fraser to arrange a match with Sandon. The partners in the doubles tournament having been drawn for in the afternoon they were handicapped as follows ; Mr Furrie and Miss G. Wanklyn, sc ; Mr Marshall and Mrs C. Robinson, 5: Mr Clemett and Miss L. Austin, 8; Mr Edwards and Miss Edwards, 12; Mr Barnard and Miss M. Austin, 14; Mr Stiles and Miss Walden, 14; Mr Betty and Miss P. Fraser, 18 ; Mr Fraser and Miss 0. Fraser, 22. It was decided that the tournament should end on Saturday March 17th ; that Secretary notify competitors of this ; and that the rules to be observed in the tournament be posted up in the tennis grounds; also that any member of the club who wishes to enter the tournament notify the secretary at once.
