Aix who have the welfare of the Borough at heart will rejoice when they learn that the thoughts of progression have not entirely faded away from the minds of our civic authorities —for it will be noted that they are to further grapple with the subjects of water supply and fire-extinguishing services on Monday night next at their ordinary meeting. It would be invidious to further write of the benefits to be derived from the carrying out of such works, for we have already exhausted our appeals without result. So we will be content to leave the matter entirely to councillors in the hope that something definite may result from the efforts made in favour of progress by those Councillors who claimed to be standing on the progressive ticket when returned at diffe ent Council Elections. “ Now or Never! "
