DEATH OF THE KING OF DENMARK. London, Jan. 29. Obituary.—The King of Denmark. [Christian IX, King of Denmark, was born on April Btb, 1618, and is therefore 87. Before his accession to the throne he -was Commander in Chief of the Danish cavalry. The succsssion was vested in him by the protocol of London, May 8, 1852, and he ascended the throne oh the death of Frederick VII., 1863. In the beginning of his reign arose the hraous dispute about the Duchies if Schleswig and Holstein, which •y the Treaty of Peace of Vienna 186.].) lie had to surrender. He narried in 1842, the Princesskocise, who died in IS9B. The heir to the throne is the Crown :) rince Frederick, who is 63 years F age. Queen Alexandra is the 'ate King’s eldest daughter.
