FOXTON v. MOUTOA.

The match between the Foxton and Moutoa C.C. was playetTbtM Saturday afternoon in the Park, As each Club had won once in previous meetings, the side that was successful would practically win the Premiership and consequently a good fight was anticipated, and such was the case, for tho 1 Foxton won eventually byljjk handsome margin, had Moqtdis* taken advantage of some of the catches it was just possible they would have led and won on the first Innings. The Premiership however is not yet won by Foxton, as that Club has to meet the Debating Club once more, and ffttfe latter . wins it will mean another struggle between the two Clubs which meet on Saturday. To revert to the game which was played in most desirable weather, Moutoa batted first and though no one got into double figures, amassed 51. To this Foxton responded with 85; Furrie 21, Imrie 18 not out, and the veteran Fred. Martin 15, all good innihgs, being the principal scorers. Moutoa In their second venture totted up 44, W. Bowe n, being the only double figure scorer. This left Foxton nto win, which was obtained with the loss of 1 wicket just on closing time. Bowling on both sides Was good, Sweeney for Moutoa doing the hat trick, whilst Overend and Curria (a sub.) did some good catching for Foxton. Messrs 1,. Reade and Wilson gave satisfaction as umpires.
