AT NIGHT.
At the Public Hall in the even- j ing, there is a splendid variety " entertainment to attend. management have made it a special point to engage plenty of the comic element, and that is the place to go and have a hearty laugh. Some of the jokes to be cracked are said to be side-splitting and they are in expert hands. The first pait is devoted to a grand circle, whilst the second part includes the main numbers of the evening. Included in those to appear are The Andrews Brothers (formerly of Australian Music Halls), Frank Peat (comedianand, invincible step-dancer), Lu Ed- h wards (comedian), Taff (coon melodist), and Joe (baritone vocalist). All these are new to Foxton, whilst the other favourites have appeared at Levin, Shannon, and Rongotea since their last appearance here, and have received flattering notices* The programme to be presented abounds with clean comic sentiment, and cannot fail to meet with the plaudits of the audience. The other individual performers are Misses Ettie Webb, Lizzie Laing, Cissy Robinson, Mrs Currie, Jim Carrie, Bob Grace, and Ted •Uitherlaad—all these in new items. There is also an invisible strong chorus.
Miss May Raing and Mr Arch. McMinn provide the accompaniments, and it goes without saying that the music will be good.
To meet the wishes of those desiring to gain a comfortable seat, the doors will be opened from 7 to 7.30 at a charge of 6d extra. The 3s seats are limited, so patrons should make it a point of being early.
There is a bill-of-fare to suit all, comic, coon and sentimental singing, jokes, dance, and sketch of the best. Come and laugh!
