SAD DEATH OF A HEROIC FIREMAN. .. New York, Jan. ti. The West Hotel at Minneapolis, the biggest between Chicago and the Pacific, caught fire when seven • hundred guests were asleep. Terrible scenes were witnessed. Teh persons lost their lives. < Some heroic work was done by , rescuers. The captain of the firer men was killed saving an aged and unconscious woman, who escaped.
