Two men were caught in the act of burglary at Moyes’ tailor shop in Vic-toria-street, Auckland, about 12 o’clock las' Friday night. Their presence was discovered by a hotel porter, who heard the smashing of glass and informed Constable Armstrong and a cabman named Bowden. Armstrong found one man with his legs hanging irom a window and seized and stunned him with his baton. Another man was inside, and he threatened to fire and made a dash through a window. Armstrong seized him and handcuffed him after a severe struggle. The other man, having recovered, had but was captured by Bowden an# another citizen. Both were strong men, and were evidently in/ irTe act ot removing a quantity of clotsng when interrupted.
