Dondon, December 16.
Mr Winston Churchill, Undersecretary in the Colonial Office, addressing the City liberal Club, said that free-trade, self-govern-ment, and peace would be the principles governing the Ifiberal Government’s colonial policy, the nation giving with an open hand and open heart all it had a right to give—its protection, credit, and great free market, and asking no price, driving no bargain, seeking no calculated repayment. ‘ ‘ This, " added Mr Churchill, “ is the only union able to preserve through all years the loyal, powerful, prosperous and profitable colonies."
