Personal.
General sympathy was expressed throughout Foxton yesterday morning when it became known that young Percy Rowe (a popular lad who has been in the employ of Mr A. Laing for over two years) had suffered severe injuries whilst engaged in schooling Lady White at Woodville early yesterday morning. U 1 sorts of rumours were afloat as to the seriousness of his injuries, but we are pleased to say that advice received from Woodville this morning contain some hopes of his recovery. It appears th.at Mr Laing’s charge ran into a fence, with the result that young Rowe received a nasty knock on the head, so severe that he was rendered unconscious. We understand that his wounds have been stitched, but that his injuries prevent his removal from Woodville at present. On hearing of the mishap, Mesdames Rowe and Laing left for Woodville yesterday morning to attend to the sufferer. All who know the unassuming lad will hope for bis complete recovery.
