Weights for Second Day’s Races will b® declared on Monday, January 22nd, 1906, at about 8 pm. Acceptances close same evening at 9.30. Rules and Regulations. Penalties.i— Flat Races —The winner of any flat race after the declaration of weights to carry a penalty of rolbs, and of every additional race a further penally of ylbs. Horses handicapped at Bst rolb or over to carry half the above penalties. Hurdle Ra Cfi s—The winner of any hurdle race alter the declaration of weights to carry a penalty of rolbs in the hurdle race, and of every additional race a further penalty of ylbs. Definition of a Hack.— A Hack means a horse that has not at time of entry won a race of the value of 80 sovs, or races of the collective value of 200 sovs, and is not nominated in any open race at the meeting. No hors® will be allowed to start whose fees are unpaid. Entries by telegram must be confirmed in writing at the earliest possible opportunity. No betting allowed on the course except through the medium of the Tatalisator. The Stewards reserve the right to alter the date or time for receiving nominations and acceptances as they may deem fit. Richmond’s dam, Australian Maggie, was shown thirteen times on Australian show grounds and never was beaten, and her dam, Glasgow Maggie, was sold at McCulloch’s sale in Melbourne for 840 guineas.
