School Holidays.
TO THE EDITOR OP THE MANAWATTJ HER4M'’-
Sir,— On Wednesday evening, Nov30th, the members of our worthy School Committee passed a resolution, proposed by Mr Gray, and seconded by Mr G. Coley, that no holiday should be granted the school on Election Day. Now, sir, what I should very much like to have explained to me is why the mover of the resolution, named above, should give his own children a holiday and at thn same time take the trouble, to debar the others from haying a holiday on a day that to me, and I dare say to; many others, - seejnss to be of infinitely more importance and interest than “ King’s Birthday,” “ St. Patrick’* Day," etc.—Thanking you in anticir pation, I, am, etc,, OklooJcsr.
