Foxton Rifle Club.
A meeting of the above Club was held at Mr Haywood’s Hotel on Tuesday evening last. Mr E. Wanklyn was voted to the chair.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. Proposed by A. Morgan, seconded by Mr Mainwaring, That accounts be passed for payment. Carried.
Proposed by C. Rand, seconded by J. Gillespie, That the general meeting be postponed till Tuesday, 12th inst. Carried.
Proposed by G. Morgan, seconded by W. Mainwaring, That 0. Austin, according to scores, have a leg in for Coley’s Cup. Carried.
Proposed by W. : Mainwaring, seconded by J. Gillespie* That handicaps for next competition be out by Friday, Bth inst., and that competition be finished by Saturday, 16th inst Carried.
A motion, that ranges be, 200, 500, and 600yds, was carried. Proposed by C. Rand, seconded by J. Gillespie, That application forms re Defence Club be sent to headquarters, harried.
It was. resolved that the next meeting be held at Gray’s Hotel. A vote of thanks to the chair, and to Mr Haywood for the use of the room, concluded the meeting.
