The Premier addressed a crowded meeting at Shannon last nigkt, and at the conclusion of his speech, a vote of confidence was unanimously passed in favour of the present administration. Mr Stevens visited Messrs Coley and Stiles flaxmill by kind" permission of that firm on Monday and addressed over 30 of the men. Mr Vile addressed a meeting of electors at Himatangi last night. Mr Vile was yesterday nominated for the Manawatu seat by Messrs A. McHardy and T. Masters (Sandoh)i B. G. Gower (Foxton), J. Stevenson ,£ulls), and E. K. Kilgour (Marton).
