London, November 15.
Eight thousand spectators witnessed the football match New Zealand v. Bedford. The visitors won by fortj r -five to nil, The ground was greasy, Bedford imported several men for the occasion, including some international players. Hunter secured two tries in the first twenty minutes, but neither was converted. Roberts and Seeling obtained further tries in the first half, Gillett adding the major points in one instance, the score standing—New Zealand, 14; Bedford, o. In the Second half the Bedford team was nonplussed b}r the marvellous pace and brilliant passing of the visitors. Hunter secured four more tries, but n one were converted. Deans (Canterbury) McDonald (Otago), and McGregor (Wellington , then obtained a try each in quick succession, McGregor converting all three. Then Seeling obtained a goal from a mark, the game ending -New Zealand 45, Bedford 0.
