The doll turn by Misses Etti* Webb and Lizzie Laing found mud* favour, while the cake-walk by Misses j Ettie Webb. May Laing, Bob Graces and E. Sutherland had to be My repeated. Opening chorus “Rambows’’ and finale “ Every Nation hair a Flag but the Coon ” were loudly applauded. Certainly the party displayed great taste in the selection of i v -gcal items, as they had the pick of thftfe concerts. The successes ware:— ~ “ When the Fields are White with Cotton,’' Ettie Webb; The Coalman’s Wife/' Lizzie Laing ; “ Why flm thev sell Killarney ” and “The Passion Flower," Miss Robinson ; “ Phoebe, Mrs J. Currie; fi When the Sunset Turns the Ocean Bine to Gold ” and « r,n Trying so hard to Forget You," W. Hooker ? “My Givi * a Dream, Jimmy Currie? “The Inquisitive Kiddie,” L. Edw«d&;“ Ma Rainbow Coon ” and “ White Man/’ E. Sutherland ; “Yon do soon change yoar mind,” R. Grace ; “ Lady Love,” Berf Shad bolt; “ Mignonette,” A, Harper, Every item was encored. At th® last moment, L. Edwards was placed on the corner, and acquitted himself weuV The choruses were pleasing, judging by the applause. Mr Archie McMinn presided at the piano for most of the items, while Miss May Laing accompanied Mrs Currie. A dance was held after the concert, which was attended by many lovers of the light fantastic. The Party sat down to supper together before leaving Levin, and arrived home iu the early 'tours of the morning, after having spent a mo#t enjoyable time. A request to pay a J return visit to Levin may be acceded 1 to later.
Although there were counter attractions, the concert was a financial success, despite heavy expenses. Shannon will probably be visited next week, when the Andrews brothers will act as. corner men. Those Foa* tonians who wish to spend a pleasaat evening cannot do better than accompany the troupe to Shannon. Them i9ddam cetofollow - .
