The La Bella Wrecked.
'SEVEN SAILORS DROWNED,
Melbourne, November 11
The barquetine La Bella, which left Kaipara on October sth with timber for Warrnambool, was wrecked last night on a reef about half a mile from the Warrnambool breakwater. Tha crew numbered twelve, seven of whom were drowned.
The following is a list of those who lost their lives:— J. W Coalson, of Auckland, New Zealand—first mate. Charles Jackman, of Auckland—cook. Gustave Jonson, of New Zealand—seaman. Pierre Johann, of Melbourne —seaman. Harry Wilson, of Melbourne—sea man. Jack Denham, of Melbourne—seaman. Robert Gent, of Melbourne—seaman. The names of the survivors are as follows: Mylius—captain. Robinson—second mate. Rosenholme—seaman, Noake—seaman. Payne—seaman.
