A strange affair is (says a Dunedin message) reported from Port. Ghalmen. Alfred Leenstone,' donkeyman on the steamer Kent, has reported to the polico that a man came up to him near the shipping office and asked if he was going to ship; on the Manuka. He replied in the negative. The man said he wanted to sp°ak to him privately, and took him' into tho railway tpnnel. There the man . stabbed him' in the abdomen.
