Cricket.
London, Oct. 24. Mr F. E. Lacey, secretary of the Marylebone Cricket Club.in the course of an interview said it was altogether premature to assert that a Marylebone team would not visit Australia in 1096. The club was perfectly willing to negotiate with any body, even a Melbourne club or the Sydney organisation, provided it was authorised to speak on all important matters relating to cricket interests. The days for taking out an English team as a private enterprise were past. Jackson states that if the team goes it must be under the auspices of the Marylebone Club.
