Then Glenn (Taranaki), Smith (Auckland), Deans (Canterbury)* Seeling (Auckland), Wallace (Welling* ton), and Hunter (Taranaki) secure)! tries in quick succession, all before half time. ’ Wallace converted three of them, while Gillett added the major points in the ipurth, At half time the score was, New Zealand 26, Gloucester nil.
In the second half very even play took place for the first bait hour, ana then Deans obtained his second try, which Wallace converted. Gloucester bad another slice of bad luck in losing Wood (half-back) through injury. Wallace, Seeling and Deans secured further tries, two ot which Wallace con verted. New Zealand 44, Glouces* ter nil.
AN EXCUSE OFFERED. Some correspondence has beta it progress in the newspaper with regard to the visit of the New Zealand football team to England. The selection of the best possible rugby players is urged, regardless of differences between the Northern Union and the Rugby Union.
