Pearl ha* taken numerous prizes, and has bred five prize winners, including the chain pion of Otago, Herd Lassie. Lord Lyon holds an unbeaten record, and bred this year’s champion mare in Australia, Flower of Balmoral, also Prince, who in his turn sired the j champion horse of Australia. Lord Salisbury was champion horse of New ' Zealand for many years, both as a sire and in the show ring, never being beaten in Scotland or New Zealand Richmond’s dam, Australian Maggie, ■ i was shown thirteen times on Australian ! j show grounds and never was beaten, I and her dam, Glasgow Maggie, wa* | sold at McCulloch's sale in Melbourne for 840 guineas.
