We offered to-dfiy 2600. skins, 500 hides, and a quantity ot wool, horsehair and tallow. Prices for wool ruled on same level at last sale. We quote good crutchings 6sd to yd, medium 6d to 6sd, inferior ssd to sJd. Skins.—There is no change to report, all lots on the catalogue being cleared at full prices. We quote— Merinos Bsd to Sjd, fine crossbreds Bid to gd, coarse BJd to Bfd, dead skins yd to y|d, Short wools toy£d, lamb skins 8d to lid, butchers’ green ys to Bfd. Tallow.—Casks 19s to 21s, tins lys, rough fat 14s. Horsehair. -is 4d per lb, cow hair Bd. Hides.—An alteration in the method of selling hides here was made today ; instead ot hides being sold at per piece they are in future to be sold by weight. Competition was good and we quote—Ox hides 3d to cow hides <d to 3d, calf skins sd to 6}d. Wellington, 13th Oct., 1905.
