Mr Wile urged the MinWer to provide for them upon the suppic* '' mentary estimates, which would In* elude the completion of the Hiinitangl* Palmerston road and the Shannon Bridge subsidy. The following reply was received bf Mr Vila: —“Dear Sir,— 4 y have tki honour to acknowledge rectipt of your letter of the 20th inst., in reference to* your further application for roads' and bridges in your electorate, and, In reply thereto, have to inform you thaf your representation will receive con* sideration when the supplementary estimates are being dealt with. I would, however, * point out that tbc amount available lor allocation fa connection with the supplementary estimates will not, I am afraid, enable provision to be made for the Shannon , / Bridge; but I will look further into the matter and see if anything can be d >ne in the desired direction.—Youti Very Truly, Wm, Hall Jones.” Mr J.
