The New Zealand Loan & Mercantile Agency Co. At Palmerston On Thursday we had an average entry of sheep and a heavy yarding ot cattle. There was a fair demand for sheep, but cattle were dull of sale and hard to quit. Business was slack under the hammer, but we quitted the greater portion unsold by private treaty. Quotations: — Sheep : Hoggets 15s 6d, 16s, and 16s 3d ; ewes and lambs 17s rod to 21s 6d, ewes and wethers mixed 20s, cull •wes ibs. Cattle : Yearlings 20s to 255, 18monfhs heTers 37s to 42s 6d, store tows 30s to 50s, cows in caif 50s to fias, fat cows 9:s, springing cows 100 s ■*>s<» 130s* springing heifers 90s to xoos, 8} year steers 745, 3 years bullocks 96s
